Cobra Shootout at the Moroso Grand Opening Tenative date 11/28/08
The 2008 Mustang Generations Cobra Shoot at the Moroso Ford Power Festival
Class One: Cobra "Kit Car" Class
Open to all "AC Cobra" style kit cars
- Cars will be run in the 1/8 mile only
- All cars will be given two qualifying runs
- A "Quick Eight" will be selected from the best times of those two runs
- The Quick Eight will race each other down to a final winner for $500 purse
- The remaining field will race each other down to a final winner for $500 purse
Class Two: Mustang Cobra Class
Open to SVT Cobra Mustangs and Shelby Cobras of all years
- Cars will run in the 1/4 mile only
- Cars will make two qualifying runs
- After the qualify runs, cars will choose the following Index to run in
- Nine Second Class
- Ten Second Class
- Eleven Second Class
- Cars may run slower than their index but not quicker than one tenth or they will be disqualified
- $500 purse for each index class
Class Three: Mustang Challenge
- 1/4 Mile Bracket Race
- Open to Mustangs of all years
- Index race -- 11:50 / 12:50 / 13:50
